liposuction instrumentThe cost of liposuction (sometimes called lipo or body sculpting) in California will depend on how much you get done and on which part of the body. The average cost for a liposuction procedure in California is approximately $5,000. Below you will find approximate prices for different types of liposuction in California.

We recommend that you do your research and find a quality board certified Plastic Surgeon in your area. It’s also important to note that insurance will usually not cover the cost of liposuction. If you’re loving to save some money, and you have more than one place you’d like to do lipo, then you can sometimes reduce your overall cost by getting as much of the liposuction done all at once. If that’s not possible, and you have only one area or you want to spread it out over different parts or times, then here is a breakdown of typical lipo costs in California by body area.

Breakdown of Liposuction Costs in California:

  • Major to Full Body Liposuction$10,000 quoted from Newport Beach, CA and Beverly Hills, CA
  • Abs & Love Handles – $800 quoted in San Diego, CA
  • Liposuction of the stomach – $2,000 to $7,000 (San Francisco, CA)
  • Liposuction of the thighs – $2,000 to $9,000 (San Francisco, CA)
  • Liposuction of the arms – $3,000 to $6,000 (San Francisco, CA)

  • Abdomen – $5,500
  • Abdomen, hips and sides – $7,000
  • Thighs, knees and buttocks – $6,000 to $8,000

These lipo prices are more geared towards women as they typically get more liposuction procedures done. However, liposuction for males typically runs a little higher. For example, liposuction for love handles on a male could cost around $5,300.

Depending on the procedure, there may be additional fees for things like anesthesia, staying overnight, etc. Most places will also allow you to pay for your procedure over a number of months.
